Enda Mc Kiernan, Managing Director
of Mc Kiernan Architects Ltd. is a creative RIAI registered architect with 12
years post graduate experience gained on a diverse range of recognized projects
both in Ireland and abroad. In his career to date Enda has gained vast
experience as Project Architect and Design Team Leader in the design and
procurement of both large, complex, technical projects; small scale domestic
low energy refurbishments and everything in between.
Enda worked initially as Project
Architect with Coady Partnership Architects, an award winning Dublin based
Architectural Practice, between 1998 and 2004 where he gained vast and varied experience
working on medium to large scale projects in the specialist areas of Education,
Health Care, Office and Urban Design.
Enda worked with Sinclair Knight
Merz, Wellington, New Zealand between 2004 and 2005 where he worked as Lead
Architect on the award winning New Zealand Fire Service National Recruit
Training Centre in Rotorua.
Enda worked as Senior Architect
Director for Rhatigan and Company Architects, a medium sized Sligo based
Architectural Practice, between 2005 and 2010 and was full involved in the
daily management and running of the practice. Here he worked intensively in the
Education, Office, Commercial and Residential sectors. Projects of regional significance
which Enda designed and project managed included the new Student Centre for the
Institute of Technology, Sligo and a new Extension to Scoil Mhuire, Convent of
Mercy, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon.
While Enda has vast experience
across a diverse portfolio of building types through ongoing up skilling Enda has
recently gained additional competency in the specialist areas of Building
Conservation, Accessibility and Health & Safety.
Having previously been entrusted
with important projects commissioned by both public institutions and private
companies, Mc Kiernan Architects understand the complex building process and
can advise our clients on every aspect of building design, procurement and
construction.
